A cult Manchester venue is shutting up shop after eight years.
Carsons Bar opened in 2008 with a focus on up-and coming acts and has hosted gigs by the likes of Viola Beach, Catfish and The Bottlemen and The Slow Readers Club.
Jemma Carr - part of the family team who took a full year to convert the derelict sewing factory into a fully functioning music venue - told The Manchester Evening News that the owners decided it was time for a change.
She said: “We have had eight amazing years as a family running Carsons and made some brilliant memories, but we have all agreed it’s time for a change. We haven’t decided on the next venture yet - we may reopen as a private event space or we may let someone else open the venue."
