The Killers bassist Mark Stoermer, is to take an indefinite break from touring with the band to "pursue educational goals and to release a solo album."
Stoermer will howver be taking part in the bands studio recordings but he won't be joining Brandon Flowers and Co on the road.
He'll be replaced by Jake Blanton a US musician who had previously filled in for Stoermer back in 2013. In a statement to Alternative Nation, The Killers said: "Mark has decided to take a break from touring with us. But don't be surprised if you do see him back on stage from time to time. Everyone supports his decision to pursue other goals.
"The four of us will continue to work on our fifth album together and we're all excited about the new songs we are writing."
