AC/DC Guitarist Malcolm Young has Dementia
The guitarist who is a founding member of the rock group, left the band earlier this year due to illness.
A family statement to People Magazine said that "Malcolm is suffering from dementia and we thank you for respecting our privacy." After Young left the band, it was announced that they would be releasing a new album later this year entitled "Rock or Bust" and despite Young's illness, the band will carry on without him.
"Rock or Bust" will be the bands first album in six years since the release of "Black Ice" back in 2008 which straight to the top of the UK album charts and has sold over eight million copies worldwide. There will be a world tour in support of the new album in 2015, with Stevie Young, (Malcolm's nephew) replacing him on guitar.
